This could very well be due to your NFS file server. I ran into similar 
situation (not with bacula) when I started transfering files from old Auspex 
NFS server to the newly acquired NetApp filer. The block size on NetApp was 
much larger than on on Auspex so the disk usage very different between Auspex 
and NetApp.
