I¹m trying to schedule backups on a Exchange 2007SP1 running on
Win2k8/64bit. The VSS services on OEyyy¹ are running (Microsoft Software
Shadow Copy Provider, and Volume Shadow Copy). The same config seems to work
fine backing up Exchange 2007SP1 on a Win2k3/64bit server. There was another
post about this same issue about a month ago that received no responses.

>>From log of backup:

30-Jul 14:31 xxx-dir JobId 20: Start Backup JobId 20,
Job=yyy.2008-07-30_14.31.13
30-Jul 14:31 xxx-dir JobId 20: Using Device "FileStorage"
30-Jul 14:32 xxx-sd JobId 20: Volume "Backup_Vol_2008" previously written,
moving to end of data.

30-Jul 14:32 yyy-fd JobId 20: Warning: VSS was not initialized properly. VSS
support is disabled. ERR=An attempt was made to reference a token that does
not exist.

>>From event log:
---
Shadow Copy Service error: The VSS Coordinator class is not registered.
This may be caused due to a setup failure or as a result of an application's
installer or uninstaller.

Operation:
   Instantiating VSS server

I looked thru the bug database, and did not find anything related.

After searching google, it seems that W2k8's VSS is 64bit, and does not
support 32bit requestors. What is involved in building a 64bit compatible
VSS requestor for bacula?
