Working in bconsole I select some files to restore.  Bacula tells me that the 
restore 
job will require tapes A and B. I know these are not currently in the changer.  
What 
is the best way to proceed at this point?

What works for sure:
Cancel the job.  Stop bacula.  Insert the tapes in the changer.  Start bacula. 
Update slots.  Start over selecting files to restore.

What didn't work:
Insert tapes in the changer.  Update slots.  Allow the restore to proceed.
