on gentoo:
x11-libs/qt
Latest version available: 4.3.3
Latest version installed: 4.3.3
and
x11-libs/qwt
Latest version available: 5.0.2-r1
Latest version installed: 5.0.2-r1
and the flag --with-qwt=/usr/include/qwt5
