I've bacula set up and working for over a year now.
I have a single LTO2 tape drive, with 4 clients. All was working well, with
notifications being sent when a tape need to be changed, etc.
Last week I upgraded bacula from 2.2.5 to 2.4.0. Then a couple of stange things
started to happen, with no changes whatsoever to the configuration files:
- when a job started runnig and no tape is in drive, the job immediately fails
- no emails are sent (or messages logged) requiring operator intervention
- today the first full job ran. It usually spans through a couple of tapes.
The pool, job and client have a retention time os aproximately 30 days, give or
take a day. When the first tape (tsw-0004) got full, Bacula recycled another
tape (tsw-0001) in the pool, and then it automatically started overwriting the
first tape (tsw-0004):

This is really serious, because the backup is useless...
