No. Remember that bacula is designed with the same volume restrictions
for disk media as it does with tape.

Yes, it will do that but it will not free any space until it is used
the first time after a purge.

If you do that make sure that every client has at least 2 volumes
otherwise recycling still will not work. The reason is at the point of
the recycle you will have no full backups for a client. Automatic
recycling will not work correctly if you only have 1 volume for a
client.
