I have tried making the suggested changes to these files:

> $Conf{SmbClientFullCmd} = '$smbClientPath \\\\$host\\$shareName
> $I_option -U $userName -E -N -d 1 -c tarmode\\ full\\ verbose -Tc$X_option
> -
> $fileList';
>
> {SmbClientIncrCmd} = '$smbClientPath \\\\$host\\$shareName
> $I_option -U $userName -E -N -d 1 -c tarmode\\ full\\ verbose -TcN$X_option
> $timeStampFile - $fileList';

> $Conf{SmbClientRestoreCmd} = '$smbClientPath \\\\$host\\$shareName

No luck getting the backups to work. 

As a simple fix, If the Windows machines are set to use SMB in their 
configuration settings, shouldn't I be able to use RSYNC as well?
When I try this, I get Unable to read 4 bytes.
