I'm sure it is. I've been having the same problem, and I found these
posts by the simple if tedious expedient of reading the BackupPC Users
List for the past five years. Unfortunately I started reading at 2009
so it's taken a while to reach June 2014. Did I miss an announcement?
I've now patched Samba 3.6.24 as per the diffs attached to the bugzilla
report and I'm waiting for the next scheduled backup which, will be the
one at 0300BST tomorrow (3 August 2014). I'd schedule one but it's now
2100 and I've been working on this all day so it's time for something a
little more relaxing. :)
As it's a bit of a pain patching from the diffs in the bugzilla report
I'll gladly post a unified diff here if anybody's interested.
