Hi!

Well, this is odd. The file /var/log/apache2/access.log is empty. access.log.1 is a week old, and the last lines are:

127.0.0.1 - - [09/Mar/2014:16:50:06 +0100] "GET /server-status?auto HTTP/1.1" 200 621 "-" "munin/2.0.9-1ubuntu1 (libwww-perl/6.05)"
127.0.0.1 - - [09/Mar/2014:16:55:01 +0100] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 301 593 "-" "Wget/1.14 (linux-gnu)"
127.0.0.1 - - [09/Mar/2014:16:55:01 +0100] "GET /mythweb/ HTTP/1.1" 500 24971 "-" "Wget/1.14 (linux-gnu)"
127.0.0.1 - - [09/Mar/2014:16:55:02 +0100] "GET /server-status?auto HTTP/1.1" 200 623 "-" "munin/2.0.9-1ubuntu1 (libwww-perl/6.05)"

127.0.0.1 - - [09/Mar/2014:17:00:01 +0100] "GET /mythweb/ HTTP/1.1" 500 24971 "-" "Wget/1.14 (linux-gnu)"
127.0.0.1 - - [09/Mar/2014:17:00:02 +0100] "GET /server-status?auto HTTP/1.1" 200 625 "-" "munin/2.0.9-1ubuntu1 (libwww-perl/6.05)"
127.0.0.1 - - [09/Mar/2014:17:00:05 +0100] "GET /server-status?auto HTTP/1.1" 200 626 "-" "munin/2.0.9-1ubuntu1 (libwww-perl/6.05)"

I have no idea at all why there is nothing in the access.log file.

error.log contains few entries. Here are the last lines, the only one produced today. I have tried to access the backuppc web interface several times, but I can't see if these lines are related to that:

[Mon Mar 17 07:49:50.351243 2014] [mpm_prefork:notice] [pid 3105] AH00169: caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Mon Mar 17 07:49:51.460259 2014] [mpm_prefork:notice] [pid 24009] AH00163: Apache/2.4.6 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.5.3-1ubuntu2.2 configured -- resuming normal operations
[Mon Mar 17 07:49:51.460308 2014] [core:notice] [pid 24009] AH00094: Command line: '/usr/sbin/apache2'

Does this produce some more clues? Is my apache2 installation somehow broken?

Best,

Magnus

Hi!

It's good to cover basics, I am sure this is basic somewhere....

More ideas on what I should check?

Yes, show the apache error log and access log files....

Adam
