Need to backup host that does not answer to ping. Tried to modify
PingCmd and/or PingPath, but looks like modifications has no effect.
I added to /etc/backuppc/pc/<hostname> file theses, tried several
permutations:
#$Conf{PingCmd} = '/bin/true';
$Conf{PingPath} = '/bin/echo';
Then using the General tip from Wiki, I can see BackupPC_dump is still
using /bin/ping and stops, because it does not get an answer.
I did get the backup by setting the client to answer to pings, then
BackupPC workd first try. But I would prefer not have it answer pings.
How to stop BackupPC from stopping if host does not answer to ping?
