[BackupPC-users] Viewing or Searching compressed log files

I would like to grep the log files and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do that from the command line. Can someone help?

I've tried "zcat LOG.0.z | grep" and "bzcat LOG.0.z | grep" both of which complain that the file isn't the proper format.
