Hi Erik,
If you are backing up your main backup folder, you will have all the data
you need except for the default config.pl file and the hosts file (which you
could rebuild by traversing your TOPDIR). However, just to make life easier
on you, I would suggest backing up your /etc/ folder daily so that if you do
lose your server, you can very easily reinstall BackupPC and copy the files
from the /etc/ folder back into the new box, fire it up, and all should be
well. This could be done relatively easily using a daily, hourly, etc.
cronjob.
