Hey Ted,
I have only one hosted server that backups a few remote clients, when I more to the Tar install I do not wish to lose any of my current backups as they take awhile to run. Sorry but your comments confused me a little, when you say "same" server do you mean a server backing it self up?
When I say I need to be aware what to restore I mean what BackupPC config do I need to restore if I move from Yum to Tar install.
