[BackupPC-users] BackupPC broke after upgrade to 3.2.0beta0

Hi all. I just upgraded BackupPC from 3.0.something to 3.2.0beta0. After
the upgrade, it doesn't look like it attempts to start any backups. On
the status page it updates the "Last Try" column but the "Error Time"
column is from previous to the upgrade. Also, running the backup
manually with the ssh command used by backuppc just has the command
seemingly hung (there doesn't seem to be any or minimal data transfer
between client and server). Doing a "ps aux" shows no ssh commands
running associated with backuppc. I saw some firewall blocks in
/var/log/all.log so I turned the firewall off on the server, but that
didn't change the behavior. I am able to ssh into my client machines as
the backuppc user without any passwords or prompts, showing that the SSH
keys are working. The "top" command also shows close to 0% CPU usage.

Any ideas on how to diagnose this problem?
