Wow, that's the trick, yeah! (Sorry, it's getting late for me, my brain is
about to sleep)... ;-)
OK, so that problem could be easily solved:
- first run: backup from my local copy;
- subsequent runs: backup from remote host.

Now I "simply" have to understand and solve the issue with the process
somehow being stuck at

Sending empty csums for vito/ntuser.ini
Sending csums, cnt = 0, phase = 1

Nobody having clues?
Any way to have more verbosity?
