Hi - I am rather new with backuppc, but with the help of the docs and the
web managed to setup a basic, working environment, backing up a Linux
(ubuntu) machine and windows clients to an ubuntu (8.04.1) server running
backuppc 3.0.0 (from the repository).

Last night, I discovered that the initial, full backup of the Linux
machine (via rsyncd) did not finish, because the connection (vpn via
internet dial-up) broke. Although the connection was reestablished shortly
thereafter, the backup did not resume, but remained in the system as
"partial" backup.

Moving the Linux machine into the LAN here will be difficult. So full
backups will have to be made via possibly shaky connections. Is there a
parameter/switch/way to get backuppc to resume backups (or try resuming
for a period of x) in case a connection should drop? timeout in
rsyncd.conf is set to 600, which is much more time than needed to
reestablish the VPN connection.

Thanks for any hint, Christian
