Hi,
i have some strange problems with a windows-2003 server,
and a share i want to backup via samba.
In the amanda report i get this error:
> FAILURE DUMP SUMMARY:
> LIN002 //172.16.8.42/dfs lev 0 FAILED "[disk //172.16.8.42/dfs, all estimate
failed]"
>
and on the sambaserver, which should do the backup, i get this as
sendsize.debug:

i have never seen such an effekt in all the years i use amanda.
what could be the cause of these Error?
Permisions?
i should mention, that this machine behaves a little strange with 4 other shares
backuped directly with the latest zmanda-windows-client.
It only gives me backups containing each and every file in the shares, even in
level 1 runs.
i've verifyed the creation and modification time of the files in windows, they don't change every
day. The level 1 backups of these shares schould be a few MB's each night, as these shares are
nearly static.
As these a shares make up about 60% of the data to be saved (~400GB) these
oversized incremetals
blow up completely the planed volume for my virtual-tapes.
has anybody out there a clue where i should search for?
Thanks
Christoph
