restore over multiple tape

Hi

I have the following question.

Let's say I backup a fileset over 5 tapes labelled from tpe01 to tpe05.

I want restore the file name whatever.doc that was backed up on tape tp04.
How does amada proceed to recover this file?

The question behind is, does amanda have to restore the five tapes,concat the dump and tar xzf over the result?
