Hi All,
How is it possible to configure amanda for the following set up

Full backup on Saturdays and
Incremental on Monday till Friday.
On 2 Tapes only.

dumpcycle 1
tapecycle 2

You can do that. But it is counter to Amanda's whole backup strategy, it throws away the advantages of that strategy, and it is risky to depend on just 2 tapes in such a cycle. The full would overwrite the previous full, leaving the incrementals with no back reference, so you end up with only one backup at a time.

If you check the thread from yesterday and today titled "same tape for multiple amdumps", you will see the basis for what you want. You would need a holding disk that could hold the 5 days of incrementals. Flush those to tape and then do a full to tape on Saturday. You might need a dumpcycle of 6 (taking in all 6 runs for the week), and a tapecycle of say, 7. I think Amanda will complain if tapecycle is not greater than or equal to dumpcycle. You would only be using 2 tapes during a dumpcycle, but the 7 would give you the added protection that you really need.

As indicated in the first paragraph, I would not recommend that strategy. See http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/FAQ:How_are_backup_levels_defined_and_how_does_Amanda_use_them%3F. People typically ask for incrementals on weekdays to lower demand on their systems during the working days. Amanda achieves that in a better way, smoothing demands over the entire dumpcycle so there is no major spike anywhere.
