taper: FATAL writer: Syncpipe failure during buffer advance

Hi,

I had a backupserver crash yesterday (during backups, I believe) and
today, trying to do an amcleanup and amflush, I received the errors
below from amflush:

*** THE DUMPS DID NOT FINISH PROPERLY!

The dumps were flushed to tape RH03.
The next tape Amanda expects to use is: RH04.

FAILURE AND STRANGE DUMP SUMMARY:
  taper: FATAL Invalid partnum (1) > totalparts (0)
  taper: FATAL writer: Syncpipe failure during buffer advance

Also, when trying to do a restore of a file, I get:
sethost xxxx
200 Dump host set to xxxx.
amrecover> setdisk twed0s1a
200 Disk set to twed0s1a.
No index records for disk for specified date
If date correct, notify system administrator

... Any bright ideas? :)

I'm using "harddisk-tapes" on Linux, and the server has been running
without a hiccup for a year.
