Note that this same sort of call just went out to the bacula list, and they have lots of people who are likely to vote.

So, don't think voting is beneath you just because you are a mighty sysadmin. ;-)

Get out and vote. Every vote counts. (Actually, you don't even have to get out. Just click on the link -- http://sourceforge.net/awards/cca/vote.php -- Too simple.)

It was interesting to look at the lists of finalists in different categories. I noticed that some things, like Firebird and Hobbit monitor, appeared in a lot of categories (which is due in part to the imagination and energy of their community of voters). It seemed to me that amanda ought to also be in more places. Two that make sense to me are design and community support. I don't know if amanda is unique among backup software in its design, but it certainly stands out. Maybe next year we can coordinate to hit more categories.
