I am not user of the windows client.

But are you sure Amanda is fully operational on the Linux machine
first?

- what "amcheck -s <config>" is saying?

- what is you have a DLE for the Linux machine only and try "amcheck -c
  <config>" ?

- what is you let Amanda run with the Linux machine only?

Once I am sure the Linux server is working, I would see to the Windows
client.
