Running at least once yourself ensures that you have indeed
hardware compression off, and that the speed is decent (pointing
to bad hardware/cables/settings etc if not).

When you run it with the "-e 35 G" (a reasonable estimate of total
capacity) most tapedrive should finish within 3-6 hours.
Leaving out the -e option can result in a few days runtime; you
are warned.
