What kernel, and what snapshot of amanda-2.5.0 please? 

I'm having a similar problem with broken pipes the last 2 nights using 
20060405 and kernel 2.6.16.1.  2.6.16 worked fine 20 minutes later.
20060407 & 2.6.16.3 get tested tonight.

People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules.  I do use spamassassin too. :-)
