Although I have Amanda configs at work with 100+ DLEs, I also use
Amanda at home for just a couple of hosts. At home, since my tape
can hold nearly two week of backups, I just let them pile up on the
holdingdisk, and only insert a tape once a week. By having autoflush
enabled, whenever a tape is present the backups on the holdingdisk
get written to tape. Might work for you.
