Hi all,

The problem :
When I restore (with amrestore) a directory /var/courier, it's take only 10min, or when I restore a sub-directory /var/courier/toto/, il takes more than 1 hour.
With :
/var/courier = ~ 20Go
/var/courier/toto/ is only 20Mo.

My config (amanda ver 2.4.4p3-3 ) :

- The disklist list:
host /var/courier comp-root-tar

- The summary of amanda.conf :
dumpuser "backup"
inparallel 4
netusage  10248 Kbps
dumpcycle 1 days

tapecycle 1 tapes

bumpsize 20 Mb
bumpdays 1
bumpmult 4
etimeout 300

runtapes 1
tapedev "/dev/nst0"
tapetype DLT-IBM

holdingdisk hd1 {
   comment "main holding disk"
   directory "/var/amanda/hd1/lundi1"
   use 1024 Mb
   }

reserve 30 # percent

define tapetype DLT-IBM {
   comment "DLT tape drives"
   length 40000 mbytes
   filemark 32 kbytes
   speed 5608 kbytes
}

define dumptype global {
   comment "Global definitions"
   index yes
}

define dumptype root-tar {
   global
   program "GNUTAR"
   comment "root partitions dumped with tar"
   compress none
   index
   priority low
}

define dumptype comp-root-tar {
   root-tar
   comment "Root partitions with compression"
   compress client fast
}

Many thanks for our helps,

Regards,
