Nearly 2 years old now (April).
One thing I was disappointed by was the lack of response from a few sites
known to use amanda in large settings. And some of the non-responders are
(or were) regular contributers to the project and mailing list.
As you are discussing that nebulous term "enterprise" backups, I'll just
pass on a few of the high-end statics. BTW there were a total of 76 responses.
There were 19 responders running multiple amanda servers, 3 with 5-7 servers.
There were 9 responders with 30-70 amanda clients.
6 responders had client disk capacity of 1-5 TB (capacity, not data).
5 responders had client data on disk of 1-4 TB.
3 responders reported individual tape library sizes of 10, 20, and 70 TB.
1 responder each reported average dump size of 350 and 700 GB.
