I have searched the amanda-users e-mail archive without finding a
satisfying solution. amdump, amcheck works fine. amverify finds
everything that should be on the tape as far as I know. I have
/dev/nst0 as device, as far as I know it's the one I should use, not
/dev/st0. I even tried to rewind the tape with mt before executing
amrecover.

The os is suse linux 9.1

Output from uname -a: Linux zampo 2.6.5-7.111.19-default #1 Fri Dec

amanda version: 2.4.4p4
gnutar version: 1.13.25-298
tapedrive: STT8000N

Is there anyone out there who has a clue on what might be the
problem for me?

TIA
Sören
