amrecover segfault
2005-01-20 05:17:01
I am moving this issue to it's own thread since I misplaced it and it doesn't
seem to draw any attention:
amercover segfaults on me when trying to access directories with long names. I
managed to find this email:
http://www.mail-archive.com/amanda-users AT amanda DOT org/msg22228.html
and using addx and cdx works for me too.
However this is quite a serious bug. Is anyone aware of this? Is it being
addressed ?
The server I am using is amanda-2.4.4p2-3 on fedora 2. It's from a fedora 2 rpm
The problem occurs both amrecover on the same machine and on a fedora 1 machine
with amanda-2.4.4p1-1
I am using the tar (GNU tar) 1.13.25 that comes with fedora 2 on the server
The pathname I was trying to recover is 91 chars long and includes spaces, but
only normal chars (i.e. [[:alphanum:]/] in regex)
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to reproduce this so it could be
systematically checked ?
