lcpci says:

now I cannot find any driver for linux from adaptec site.
Under

I looked for AHA-2940 , AHA-2940UW , AHA-2940UW PRO ,  AHA-2940W but theres 
nothing for linux..

could you please explain in more detail, where you found those driver file(s)?
