Make sure you set 'record no' so you don't confuse other backups that
cover the same partitions.  Also make sure it will fit on a single tape.
You might want to at least use 2 tapes, since with a single tape you
are overwriting your only backup on each run, so a failed backup will
leave you with nothing.

I assume you realize there are extra steps involved in backing up a
database.

Since you don't seem to want incremental backups or complex tape history,
Amanda seems like overkill for your needs,  A simple script calling dump
or tar would be much easier to set up.
