in our environment there is one linux system (SuSE 8.1 amanda-2.4.4-41)
where amanda not increase the dump level to 2,3... I tried it with
different bumpsize, bumpdays and bumpmult values but the result is always
the same - dump level not greater than 1...Is there anyone who has
experience with such behavior ? The backup on that system is performed
via "dump".
Have a look in ~amanda/YourConfig/amdump.* and see what planner
gets back for the different levels, especially level 2.
If the savings are not big enough, amanda will not bump a higher level.
