Most likely bad tape or bad tape drive. "out of tape" is just amanda's
attempt to explain the failure, but you'll likely find "I/O error" in
/var/*/messages.
First step is to confirm you can reliably write/read large amounts of
data to/from the drive without amanda (just use tar) and reliably move
back and forth to multiple files on the tape (using mt).
