Hi,
I am having problems with backing up Windows machines on tapes (using
samba) using amanda. Amanda is installed on a Pentium 200 MMX machine ,
OS : red hat linux 9.0. The tape drive is quantum DLT8000 using DLTtape.
When I run an amcheck, I don't get any errors. But running amdump after
that doesn't cause anything to be written onto the tape or the holding
disk. The amdump file shows that the amanda was able to succesfully
calculate the approximate dump size but no dump actually takes place.
The amdump file also shows a* _floating point exception_* at the end but
I can't figure out the reason for that. Also there are no problems in
backing up other unix machines.
I am attaching the one of the amdump files. Iwould highly appreciate any
help that I can get.
