Sorry this is likely a duh, but you didnt mention what are permissions and 
group privileges on /home/Administrator.
perhaps theyre too tight for your amanda user?

Can anybody help me here.

I am trying to configure Amanda that is shipped with RH7.2 and it is giving
me one error when I run AMCHECK.

Which basically says my amanda user cannot access the amandahosts file in
/home/Administrator

I have checked all the user names in XINETD and the FAQ-O-Matic - no joy.

Can anybody point me in the right direction.
