I imagine that this is for the same reason that FreeBSD does it -- so
that you can request help even if you're not subscribed...
Thirdly, what kind of spammer would subscribe to a list, post a link
to a
.EXE file and expect a bunch of Unix gurus to go there? LOL
Probably they don't even realize that there is such a thing as unix --
or if they do, they don't know that .exes don't work on unix...
And besides, it's probably either a) an address that they bought as a
part of a huge list or b) it's a virus which is grabbing an address
from a mail client's address book...
