The amanda server would see the NAS box as a disk drive, and then you would 
use the file: driver in 2.4.3. It works just fine, if a little hairy to get 
started with because of the lack of documentation. I plan to write such 
documentation Real Soon Now, but I'm not going to until my configuration is 
closer to optimal - for instance, I don't use a changer at the moment, and 
that's definitely the best way to go.
