There is an option in TDP to back up a file group. I've never understood what
it is for. Looking online for information about NDF files, that same term,
"file group", popped up. So, I'd start there are see if that fits your use case.

Cheers

Is there a way to backup NDF files as part of the database backup? I have a
customer with a database with an NDF file the use for 'archiving'. That doesn't
get included as part of the TDPSQLC BACKUP * FULL command. How can I get that
included in the SQL backup of the server? Or do I need to use the BAClient for
that?

TIA,

Bill
