This is 100% repeatable (install patch-break VSS, remove patch-VSS OK), but
for some reason only breaks the "System Writer" on about 10% of our Windows
2008 (non R2) servers.  The update is only for Windows 2008 32bit and 64bit
(non R2).  I have our Microsoft contact trying to duplicate the problem
there but I suspect his test computer will probably work just fine.
