Hi Robert

My suggestion is that overwrite=yes won't make much difference.

You still have to mount the tape to write the label, so an extra read and
rewind is nothing. Personally I always let it default to overwrite=no unless I
know I need overwrite=yes. Less chance of accidents that way - such as
specifying the wrong volume range and overwriting something you really wanted.

Cheers

Steve

Subject: [ADSM-L] Question adding new scratch at library

Hi to all

A quick question about adding new scratch's on a TS3200 Library (SCSI). What
will be the correct or more efficient command to run

label libv LTO7LIB checkin=scratch search=bulk labelsource=barcode
volrange=$1,$2 overwrite=yes or checkin libv LTO7LIB status=scratch
search=bulk checklabel=barcode volrange=$1,$2

Best Regards

Robert
