FWIW, I have been battling numerous issues with replication. When I first
tried at 6.3.6, it was a mess. Then when forced to upgrade to 7.1.6.3,
things got a lot better with replication, including new tools to manage the
replication process. There are still some regular replication failures I
deal with when it runs, most if not all are fixed in 7.1.7.x.
Sorry I can't offer any specific help. You might need to turn on some
detailed server information/logging to see the errors.
