Finally got the backupset restored.

Final syntax of batch file was as follows:

dsmc restore backupset f:\* e:\rcip-f\
-backupsetname=RCIP-RETAIN-6-MONTH.777843459 -loc=server -subdir=yes
-asnode=rcipserver >> restore-f.log

Thanks all.

Correction: it should be .bat and not .mac

Obj=c:\restore-it.bat

restore-it.bat:
dsmc restore backupset {"\\rcipserver\c$"}\* e:\rcip-c\
-backupsetname=RCIP-RETAIN-6-MONTH.777843459 -loc=server -subdir=yes
-asnode=rcipserver

Hi,

I'm not sure, but I think that a schedule with Option=-asnode doesn't work
together with Action=macro or Action=command, but only with
Action=incremental, restore etc.

The following should work:
Act=command
Opt=""
Obj=c:\restore-it.mac

restore-it.mac:
dsmc restore backupset {"\\rcipserver\c$"}\* e:\rcip-c\
-backupsetname=RCIP-RETAIN-6-MONTH.777843459 -loc=server -subdir=yes
-asnode=rcipserver

Probably overlooked something simple, but just don't see it.

Thanks for the help.

Hopefully things don't highlight spontaneously again,.
