Hi Bas and Jeanne!
Thanks for the tip! Our IBM contact pointed me to the TSM Wiki site. On this
site one can find the 'Spectrum Protect for VE 7.1.3 Installation Cookbook'
(https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/groups/service/html/communityview?communityUuid=869bac74-5fc2-4b94-81a2-6153890e029a#fullpageWidgetId=W1420ccd1a64d_45f8_8f76_fdbd1fa5cb3e&file=2a46a2a5-8e9a-4c1a-adce-0fbb46f99438)
which explains the installation and configuration process step-by-step. It's
really useful for people who are struggling with the installation like I am.
I only need to replace the installation part with the commandline option, but I
will manage.
Kind regards,

Hello Eric,
I don't have a complete installer script but,
The installer can also run in command line mode (same questions as in the
graphical installer). After the installation you can the web gui. You also need
to install the BA client.

More global information is found here:
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS8TDQ_7.1.4/ve.inst/t_ve_installing.html
One problem I had was that I had to add 'export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin' to /etc/init.d/dsmcad (on the
datamover)
If you have specific questions let me know.

Subject: [ADSM-L] TSM for VE (DP for VMware on Linux)
Hi guys!
We would like to start testing with Data Protection for WMware on Linux. The
problem is that most procedures are based on the GUI and we don't have that
available in or VMware environment. So I'm looking for a step-by-step procedure
on how to install and configure DP for VMware through the commandline only. Is
there somebody out there who has such a procedure and who is willing to share
it with me?
Thank you VERY much in advance!
Kind regards,
Eric van Loon
