It's interesting to think about . . . just what is special about what is on
Passport Advantage.
From what I can see, the ONLY thing Passport Advantage provides is a protected
download of the license file. The TSM server itself is fully available from
FixCentral. So, why not just do that, make the Passport Advantage nothing more
than a download of the license file and have all the rest downloaded from
FixCentral.

I'm super interested in seeing how this turns out. Obviously, it's a pain
point for many customers and IBM has seen this to be true based on the size of
this thread. Furthermore, it's a relatively simple fix. Either update the new
code to have the license or provide detailed directions in the documentation as
to how one should set up a new server, as a few options have been presented
thus far.
Will there be a change made or will this still be a problem with the release of
the next version. Is the Spectrum team actually agile, or are they just
pumping out code every three months and calling it agile development?
