Ok, we just got the word.  The solution for my unsupported ibm 3494 libraries 
will be an amazon s3 storage gateway vtl.

Anyone deployed one of these with tsm?

We are running tsm 6.3.4 on RHEL 6.5 servers.

I've been reading, and so far, there seem to be severe limits on libraries 
using there vtl.
Also, the setup seems to be, when the library is full, check out the virtual 
cartridges to a virtual tape shelf.

Any experiences, tips, and / or help is appreciated.
