Hi,

Check in the act log for media errors that happened just before the ANR1411W and note the tape drive involved for each error. If it is always the same tape drive, then you probably have to clean or have this drive serviced. If it happens with different drives then you probably have problems with these tapes. In the latter, check in the volume history for the number of reuses for these tapes.

Example of error messages to search for:

Whatever the problem is connected the the drive or to the tapes, it is important that you try to move the data from these tapes to other tapes within the same pool with the "MOVE DATA" command. You may want to use the option "RECONSTRUCT=NO" to speed up the transfer. If some of these tapes are unreadable, you will have to delete these tapes with the "DELETE VOLUME" using the option "DISCARDdata=YES". Once the tapes are empty remove them from the library and discard them.
