Hi Eric,

I ran a test of this on an RHEL 6 x86_64 system using TSM client version
7.1.2. I added "virtualmountpoint /dev" to my dsm.sys file, then ran an
incremental backup (dsmc i). It backed up all local file systems
include /dev (which is automatically added to domain all-local). Some
thoughts:

1. Try a manual test first, as "proof of concept", e.g., dsmc i /dev

2. If dsm.sys has multiple stanzas, make sure the scheduler is using the
correct stanza (or that the virtualmountpoint setting is in the correct
stanza).

3. Make sure the scheduler is not passing a list of file systems (which
does not include /dev) to the dsmc command line input. If the scheduler
saves a log of its activity, review that log to see what it is doing; if it
redirects the dsmc output to a file, check that file to see what it is
doing.

Best regards,

- Andy
