Starting with version 6.3, TSM Linux client provides a service script in
/etc/init.d. All you need to do is to issue "service dsmcad start" to
start the service, and "chkconfig --add dsmcad" to enable automatic start
after reboot.

Agreed.  RH Linux 6 and above, needs the chkconfig and not the
'cad::once:/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsmcad >/dev/null 2>&1 # TSM' in
the inittab file to auto start up upon reboot.
