The thing to worry about is the permission to the CIFS paths. Domain trust
relationships aside, the account that the TSM scheduler/CAD is running under
will still need to be able to access all the CIFS paths that you are backing
up.
If you only change the domain of the server, but everything else remains the
same (i.e. the old domain stays up and running) there *shouldn't* be a problem
because the old service account should still be in there referring to the
original domain service account. Just make sure that migration tool doesn't
mess with the TSM scheduler "log on as" account in the Windows services control
panel.
If they plan on decommissioning the old domain, then you will need to get a new
service account on the new domain and make sure that account is permissioned
for all the shares you want to back up.

To clarify, the Windows Domain that this backup server logs into - not TSM
domain.
