Gary,
I've seen similar things with db2ckupgrade on Windows, and it was always about
permissions.
Your first error there is a "permission denied".
Do both root and the instance id have execute permission on the directory you
extracted to?

Tsm 6.2.5 running on RHEL 6.1.

Install guide says you can upgrade straight to 7.1.1 from 6.2.x.

Extract the package downloaded from passport advantage, run install.sh.
Pick tsm server and tsm license to install.
Take default shared resource directory
Accept license agreement
Select install.

I get the following.

=====> IBM Installation Manager> Error

ERROR: Error during "pre-install configure" phase:

Looks like it isn't extracting the db2 upgrade utilities.
What have I missed?
